Meta Adds Opt-Out to Stop Ray-Ban Glasses Visual Data From Training Its AI

Meta said Sept 23 that AI-glasses users can opt out of having their 'visual data' used to train Meta AI or shown to third-party contractors outside the US; when opted out, camera-interaction images are deleted after use. The opt-out covers only visual data — audio interactions with Meta AI remain available for training, though users can delete recordings manually. The change comes amid concerns about overseas contractors reviewing sensitive images captured through the glasses.
