Guest lectured for “AI and Society” at Berkeley today. Was fun. One student asked (roughly) “if we know this is going to change society, why don’t we just plan what we want and build the better society?” I suggested that could literally be a thesis. A deeply incomplete reading list (not a syllabus!)

Genuinely, not because it's my employer: when SonarQube finds complexity in my LLM-generated code, it feels really good, because I know it can be fixed and stop propagating out to the future. Yay confidence in code.
