I read Zuckerberg's new Encyclical. MZ gets more grandiose each time he morphs (HotOrNot—Community—Bringing 🌎 Together—Metaverse—to now Building God+Angels). My takeaway: At the end 👇 he bites MLK's "arc of the moral universe." But MLK's arc bent towards JUSTICE. Zuck's bends toward more AI forever

Watching this All Star Game and my takeaway is, these tech companies are all undefeated...IF the goal is for their commercials to be incredibly un-likable and to make their users seem extremely strange. It's almost like they asked AI how to appear human and...oh wait that's definitely what they did

While we're focused on big-picture issues like creating AI Gods, banning social media, or regulating a many-trillion-$ industry, have we considered our whole society might lose its damn mind "saving time" emailing/texting about emotionally laden topics that should be CONVERSATIONS. Because it might.

Wow, the AI scam game is getting stronger and stronger. Now we're out here trying to phish Harvard professors into panicking that parents of students are complaining about their courses, huh? That is...niche. But I mean, when even the Nigerian prince's email scammer job isn't safe...

What's an atheist chaplain like me doing discussing Magnifica Humanitas, Pope Leo's AI Encyclical, w/the NYT & WSJ so far (pieces expected out later today/tomorrow)? Actually there is lots to discuss, from Transhumanism to Anthropic founder Chris Olah's atheism to Leo's historic apology for slavery.

A good show at a public media outlet invited me on what would've been a discussion of AI & humanity—but also a massive manel. I declined & sent them a list of local women experts on the topic. Now apparently they've booked most of those women for various dates! Me as well, for later. A win for all.

Little known fact, AI "personal podcasts" stream directly from Hell. The broadband these days is sensational!

Well well, we have a trillionaire now. 👏 Never forget that the tech prophets are absolutely correct that they will create AI utopia—for THEMSELVES.
