What's an atheist chaplain like me doing discussing Magnifica Humanitas, Pope Leo's AI Encyclical, w/the NYT & WSJ so far (pieces expected out later today/tomorrow)? Actually there is lots to discuss, from Transhumanism to Anthropic founder Chris Olah's atheism to Leo's historic apology for slavery.
A good show at a public media outlet invited me on what would've been a discussion of AI & humanity—but also a massive manel. I declined & sent them a list of local women experts on the topic. Now apparently they've booked most of those women for various dates! Me as well, for later. A win for all.
