We are at a turning point: many of the decisions we make about AI today will permanently shape our future. Governments and the public need to clearly understand the impacts, risks, and opportunities of AI to make the right choices to reap its collective benefits while mitigating its major harms.
As the UN’s Global Dialogue on AI Governance wraps up today, I’ve been encouraged by the discussions surrounding AI and its implications for global collaboration and policymaking. I’m hopeful that we can keep building on this momentum to steer AI development on a safer path!
