I think this must be a really bad time to be a college student. So much uncertainty in the future, and so much hostility and confusion around AI use, AI witch hunts It would be like going to cooking school and not allowed to use fire

bold statement: AI isn't going to automate a lot of the business world beyond what has been automated already We've had good computing for at least 40 or 50 years, and all the important fruit has been picked Some specialties (like programming) weren't fully ripe and got plucked

It's not that companies don't know how to hire in the AI age, it's that companies never knew how to hire (Claudeisms make good jokes)

Not having done the work, most of the AI haters have no conception of how much shit work was involved with working with computers all day "Seeing God" isn't a bad analogy

I have a 10-second rule. If I can't think of a witty reply in 10 seconds I ask GPT Astra for one (just kidding. My witty quips are hand-crafted artisinal)
